- Serve as the primary point of contact for all potential clients
- Follow firm protocol for processing all potential clients
- Respond to every potential client promptly and with courtesy
- Carefully interview each potential client with genuine empathy and compassion
- Document potential client information and concerns accurately and fully in Centerbase (our client management system), upload documents, and provide notes for the record, as needed
- Perform accurate, thorough conflict checks and document any potential conflicts
- Work closely with the intake attorney to investigate possible conflicts and other issues relating to potential clients
- Assist all attorneys with administrative tasks related to arranging consultations with potential clients or opening new cases
- Maintain, update, and disseminate intake reports
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to relate to individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Excellent people skills: patient, courteous, and empathetic
- Ability to interview people who are upset, distressed, or angry, and elicit all necessary information
- Strong time and work management skills with proven ability to multi-task and self-direct
- Extremely organized, attentive to detail, and able to meet concrete deadlines
- Able to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
- Resourceful and motivated to solve issues as they arise
- Centerbase and NetDocuments experience a major plus
